3D Spectroscoptic Mapping Tomography

Concept: Combined use of NDT methods in situ

Higher penetration depths are needed for the documentation of art objects serving also reconstruction non invasive.

Methods used :

  • Infrared imaging from 1μm to 5μm and thermal imaging from 3-5μm
  • In situ diffuse reflectance spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and visible area of the spectrum – colorimetry
  • In situ diffuse reflectance spectroscopy in the Near and mid infrared area of the spectrum
  • Dual Raman and micro Raman in situ spectroscopy  with 1064nm (and 785nm) of laser source
  • In situ Infrared spectroscopy in various modes (Reflectance, Transmittance-Absorbance and ATR) with and without the use of optical fibers (2 FTIR systems one IR-CUBE, one modified ALPHA)
  • X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
  • Acoustic Ultrasonic tomography from μm to cm level of display
